candle molds supplies
Vela please help! Need to find supplies for candle making at home.?

I live in Germany and I'm looking for places to buy supplies of candles (wax, molds, wicks, scents, etc) here in Germany, Europe as a whole or the U.S. Are there companies in the U.S. included to Germany? I've noticed that some do not ship internationally. I have no APO. Furthermore, it is better soy or paraffin wax? Do the same properties or different processes to make them? What is more profitable to produce? Thanks for your help!

That's a lot of questions, all in one :-) I think candles and accessories are shipped to Germany add it to see the links below. soy wax each has its own uses. We like the soy wax candle wax for containers and pillars. Usually fairly close in price. We found that soy is more difficult to achieve bright colors (most are cake) and do not have great scent throw. You can also search the wax palm and gel, that make some beautiful real candles! And here is my standard response: Candle making is not really that difficult, but be cautious (making candles involves high temperatures, flammable substances and potentially harmful chemicals). The beginner should start with container candles (Typically in cans or glass bottles), as it will give a bit of experience working with waxes, wicks, dyes and perfumes. Note that there are many different types of waxes (Container, pillar, soy, gel) and scents (not all are safe together.) I would recommend that you look at some of the sites that provide links to learn a lesson or buy an introductory book / video. There are many good and bad information out there, please be careful.
