This is a good fishing kit for casting beach, bait I need?

I plan on casting from the beach on the coast of Devon, but I am a complete newb. How far will this cast? what kind of fish I'm likely to catch and also what type of bait I need? Ideally that id like to use the muscles because they are free on the beach and possibly a nice mackerel that are cheap fish. Any ideas for a beginner is welcome. 3.05m/10ft length of the rod. Three sections. Composition fiberglass. Casting weight from 3 to 5 oz size fixed spool reel brake 50. 18 pounds of monofilament line. 4 oz Lead grip, two boom rig, floating sea coupling accounts, money and weight. Rod Rod available in cotton cloth bag.

im on the coast of Sussex and flatfish, mainly about now are about words, language, etc. with low Schoolies touches (i seized Friday in January) and I'm also catching a lot of Onos. distance Release relies heavily on technology but isn't everything away, as there are fish close to shore. wouldnt worry much about the coach, but do not forget a leader shock that has to be 10 times the weight of 50 pounds over weight hope this helps and good luck
