What kind of clay can I use?

I have to make a project for my high school class, [it's Bible as Lit, if you were wondering] and I was planning on sculpting the Four Horsemen. The problem is, I was going to make them out of clay and I have no kiln at home, nor do I have access to one anywhere. So, what type of clay [or other sculpting material] can I use that I can fire at home and will be easy to work with?

You can use super sculpey polymer clay. You just bake in in a regular oven, or just leave it soft.

Another option is air drying clay. It kind of has a foamy texture when it dries and will be much less expensive than sculpey.

Unless you have lots of sculpting experience, I would suggest buying some cheap toy horses and just sculpting the riders. You can paint the horses to look scary.
