fiberglass mold making foam
Where can I find foam compound for the manufacture of a mold in a boat?

I'm looking to make a human being amphibians vehichle power similar to a paddle boat, but with wheels. The designs were developed, and I'm fine with the mechanics of it all, but I'm fairly new fiberglass. I studied a little, and I was looking for a place to get the foam to the mold, but I can not say if the pictures I've seen are really what I'm looking. Therefore, the foam can be sanded in a few seconds, but if pressure is applied and maintained so that you can leave the gelcoat, fiberglass resin and hardener. Where can I buy?

Looks like you're trying to make the form, ie, create the desired shape, then apply the gel Coat for strength. A mold is formed and then used to create two shells that are associated to create the float. The disadvantage of the latter, the damage to surface water can penetrate and destroy the conditions buoyancy. I am also a person who is not fiberglass, but you can try this page for a number of commercial suppliers, may be one in your area. http://www.google.com.sg/search?hl=en&q=Industrial+foam+suppliers&btnG=Google+Search&meta = Is likely to find them very willing to discuss their needs, because it represents another use for their product. I like your goal, and I want to keep track of your progress. Sounds like a concept ideal for a recreational vehicle. Good luck!
