as modeling clay harden I can without destroying the sculpture?
I am making sculptures of him and i dont want to make it smooth
Check if you are using the right material. Some clays are formulated to not harden would you like check out "air-drying clay" Here there is a link that describes several versions http://www.dickblick.com/itemgroups-a/airdryingclays/details/ I prefer to sculpt in clay fire. This clay has to be bisque in an oven at approximately 1000 degrees Fahrenheit
