Latex or silicone for my moulds?

Hi, Im interested in making moulds for face & body parts. I found a way to create my latex mould from a plasticene feature. ie a nose. Now I would like to fill the latex mould with another material to create a nice, flexible, soft feature.

Does anyone know what kind of material I need to do this & also where I can get it. I live in the UK.

Im also interested in making a cast of my face..Do you know the best material to use? Plaster of paris seems heavy, quick drying & hard to work with. Thanks!

This is a major topic of theater makeup and the stuff used for molding faces is called moulage. Fairly expensive, but reusable. Melts at low temp.
Using plaster of paris directly on the face is a very bad idea because it gets hotter and hotter as it hardens and the chemical effect on the skin isn’t good – vaseline all over and in the hair to keep from pulling it out.
Latex is what is commonly used for theater, TV, and movie prostheses. It is fairly fragile and in critical work only gets used once, being glued in place with spirit gum, make up applied to hide the edge, then torn off at the end of the day.
