I have a beginner-ish question on printmaking.?
i am an art student at an art specific high school, and last semester i took a print making class having known nothing going in to it.
i now have a good grasp of the beginner technical stuff.
(reductive printing, litho’s, mono’s, roll press, ink mixing, all that jazz)
now, for x-mass i received inks, linoleum blocks, carving tools, braiers, just about everything i need except for (obviously) a press.
I would love to do this stuff in my spare time at home, and i have heard of a way to print with out the aid of a machine like a press. is there some sort of home-made machine or special technique i can use?
if u can answer this it would make my nights oh so enjoyable =D

For lino printing, all you really need is a good burnisher to print w/o a press. Also, you may want to add a gel medium to your ink to help in its transfer if pressing by hand.
