"I can use liquid latex to make a plaster mold of a hand.?
I recently bought a kit that allows me to a plaster replica of my own had. What I do is a plaster mold reusable hand, but I want to use liquid latex rather than silicone rubber, because it is very expensive. I can make the molds with the 3D liquid latex, but not enough for the tutorials in mussels in particular. A video tutorial would be great.
Recommend to a practice run on something kind of change, but not so large that the plaster hand not to get an idea of the process to avoid damaging the hand pulling the mold. Need liquid latex paint in layers, letting each dry white amber. You can get a little faster drying with a fan blowing on them, but it is a process that takes time clock, even if it only takes few minutes each paint brush and brush cleaning. If you put too thick, it takes much longer to dry white and a liquid remains in the pocket thickness. When you have accumulated a thick layer of good, you need to do a cast able to support the latex during casting, which is just a thick layer of plaster mixed localized rates despite this helps flatten the back to facilitate the stomach. If you like, once the return is difficult, you can remove and rubber hand and appearance, but if you go The second part will have to relocate. If you want the cast will be from the mold to reveal details of both sides (do not have a flat side, with more details), you need to take additional steps to form the other side. If you go to both parties, it is useful if you build the first face with a cardboard divider or clay along the edges of the hand, while about half of the hand is in each cup. Then, turning the support of plaster and rubber mold more Paint or rub the surface with two flat liquid paraffin or vegetable to prevent the latex from sticking to freshly painted latex age and plaster strips to the support staff first second. Once you've done both sides, remove the plaster, separating the two halves of latex mold of your hand and let it dry – the latex is lower when the white mist of moisture distribution. Trim as needed after insertion the new coating on the back. On one hand, pour the plaster on the face uncovered. If both sides elastic, the two sides – I use Property bands bicycle tubes old center – the thing, perhaps in a box – and pour the cast on his wrist. Although not a hand in its direction, here are the pictures my work with the original clay, latex paint on the back of plaster, etc. to make templates wax casting. # If you http://www.mikegigi.com/castgobl.htm LATEXMOLD fall below this link, you can see the steps. If you go you will see the results, including a small hand in wax.
