How do I make fake coral or rocks for my aquarium?

I know how to sculpt clay, make molds, and cast resin. I’m looking for an easier, less expensive, process.

Two possibilities come to mind:

Is there some material, like a modified concrete, that can be sculpted like clay, dried, and put to use immediately in an aquarium?

Is there a safe way to lacquer baked/painted clay sculptures, for use in an aquarium?

I’d experiment with different materials myself, but such an experiment may kill my fish.

you can sculpt your own live rock with agrocrete according to garf.org check out www.garf.org and go to the how to section and read about sculpting your own live rock with agrocrete. i have never done it but seems like that would be the safest way to go about it.
