Is there a group that can help me learn to sculpt with clay (ceramic type) and learn to make my own molds?
I now work with polymer clay. I have clay, slip and gypsum but am afraid to start on my own. I would like to know tips on sculpting from clay from start to finish including glazing and then making my own molds from the finished piece(s). Is there a yahoo group that can do this or where does one go for help with this? Thank you!
Art Classes, Art School… you really need some formal instruction when you start making things that need to be fired and glaze fired… 2000 degrees is a lot of heat and not very forgiving.
Making plaster molds from clay pieces is really not too difficult… but a formal class can help you avoid some common errors.
