law social services question?
say i know a child, he/she has a really messy room, i mean messy. there is molding food everywhere. a million bags of chips everywhere, orange peels everywhere. their parents do not care, wont make him/her clean it and they just let it get dirtier and dirtier. the child has threadworms right now..
could i call social services and report this?
sorry, one more thing. what will happen? will they just make him clean his room or find a suitable mother and father for this child? the mother and father are both drug and alcoholic addicts. iam worried about the safety of this child
You do not state how the rest of the house is kept. But the answer to this question is YES. The fact that this child has worms speaks to the welfare and health of this child. Remember the key word is child and the parents have to make decisions that are key to the health of their children.
What happens depends what they find in their investigation, it could be something so simple as parenting classes, to removal of this child from the home and put in state care.
