I need to make a wax figure?
I need to make a wax figure(lets say a little minature hat or something) and i need to make a mold so i can pour the hot wax into it?? what material should i use? I can’t use a RTV or plaster because i do not have an orginial copy.Help?
Try the craft store in the polymer clay section. You can often find molds for sculpting polymer clay. If you use a way with a low melting point like bees wax you should be able to use the mold without melting it in the process. You can also lay the mold in a shallow dish of cool water to keep it from melting when you pour the way in. Just be sure that the water isn’t deep enough to get in the mold.
