Ceramic mold of my belly, is that weird?

I really really want a plaster mold of my belly, but my husband thinks that it is weird. Do you think that it is weird?
Well my mother in law has a friend that will do a ceramic mold for free as long as she can continue to use the mold in her art work and in her classes (she is a ceramics professor at a local community college).
Should I do the mold even though my husband refuses to let me keep it out for people to see, or should I just forget about it and let it go?
The main reason I want to have it done is because we don’t have a camera anymore. Ours died about two months ago and we won’t be able to replace it for a while, due to being extremely broke at the moment, we have one on our registry but we doubt we will get it.

I would do it. Explain to him that pregnancy is an amazing thing! Why wouldnt he want a keep sake like that?? Even if you get pregnant again it wont be the same as this pregnancy! I would keep it out for people to see anyways. He shouldnt be telling you what to do in the first place and should understand something like this. Ugh. Ive had pics taken, and the mold done and i think its amazing.
