Silicon/rubber material to make a mold?

I’ve found lots but im low on money, what is a cheap rubber to make a mold, i’m making the helmet i got with halo 3 for halloween =D.

I second minimake – a lifesized helmet would be very expensive to mould and cast!!

Latex is cheaper but has substantial shrinkage (about 5%), so make sure your noggin has ample room to fit and have an allowance before going down this route.

Check out a company called Smooth-on. they have quite good silicone rubber – you’ll also need a mould case, so plaster or fibreglass too.
