How do you make gelatin (Jell-O) and make it flexible and pliable instead of being soft?
I want to give it a rubber-like texture — somewhat firm yet flexible, pliable, and doesn’t tear apart. In this case the gelatin does not have to be edible, just functions as a rubber substitute. ( I got no transparent silicone RTV liquid available for molding so I’m thinking I might give gelatin a try.) Thanks.
Less water. Try half as much as the instructions say.
Just a tip, if you are using it as only a rubber substitute and not to eat, if you buy a box of knox gelatine powder it is cheaper and doesn’t include all the extras. You just need gelatine.
