Stabbed self with knife in hand, quick question?
Earlier I was carving a piece of wood and the knife slipped and hit my left hand pinkie finger. It hit me right between the middle and distal phalanx with the tip of the knife. What I’m wondering is at what point should I seek medical care?
There’s not much flesh or fat on the point where it hit, it went straight through the skin and hit the bone with minimal bleeding. What should I be looking for as far as signs of tetanus or is there anything else?
Should I pull the skin apart to see if I chipped my bone or would that cause more trouble than its worth? At the moment I have no insurance and bills a mile high so I’m trying to keep out of any health care clinic. I pulled the skin back slightly and poured isopropyl alcohol in the wound (what a treat!) and wrapped it up tight with a bandage and Neosporin. Any insight would be appreciated
Knife was very clean.

OUCH! you should be fine but watch closely for infection if it becomes reddened, Swollen, or you have any kind of pus or foul discharge from the would seek help. Seriously if you get an infection in the bone you could loose a finger, hand or arm.
