Make one of BJD Paparclay Creative?

I've been looking paperclay, and I wondered if it would be good for the project I'm working. I am a BJD (Ball Jointed Doll). I was wondering if paperclay be strong enough to be hollow handle AB pulls the strings inside, then be reduced C. sand surface smooth. I'm used to using polymer clays, but I'm not sure what would be the hollow interior. On the other hand, I prefer to use an air dry clay project.
