casting art definition
Is Astrology considered witch craft?

The definition States Witch craft as 1. the art or power of bringing magical or preternatural power to bear or the act or practice of attempting to do so.
2. The belief in magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to produce unnatural effects in the world.

Astrology is defined as 1. The study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies in the belief that they have an influence on the course of natural earthly occurrences and human affairs.

To Observe Cosmic activity and define the meaning of the activity based on the frequency of events observed from Earth associated with orbits, is not Supernatural in any way. It’s simply evident.(Example, Moon is full people become more emotional) Could it be that the lack of Understanding of Astrological activity classifies it as witch craft because it’s abstract nature?

Nobody has to cast a spell or do anything spiritual to calculate astrological activity.

You just answered your own question.

Definition #1:
The art or power of bringing magical or preternatural power to bear or the act or practice of attempting to do so.

= There is no bringing magic or supernatural power to mathematical calculations.

Definition #2:
The belief in magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to produce unnatural effects in the world.

= Again, there is no belief in magical spells by calculating in mathematics.

Religions only call it “Witchcraft” because at that period of time, they didn’t believe in Science and Maths, it was all God’s doing apparently. Yet saving lives through medicine, which is Science/Alchemy (Also slagged off that it’s Witchcraft) is okay.

But now days, they accept how babies are conceived and religious scientists are giving the age of dinosaur bones. Strange and I believe if you were religious, you should accepted God’s decision for you and not accept medicine.
