how to make a investment casting die?
How is the steel mold used in investment casting produced. the mold used in the manufacturing process models (with wax replicas of the desired molding by injection molding.) steps in the design of the array. have developed the product in the CATIA software. the problem is in the design of the core and also the runner cavity and such.
In general, would be machined. Also would be typical to make aluminum instead of steel, as the strength of steel is not necessary and aluminum is easier to machine.
