how to carve a jagged pattern into wood?

im trying to carve a chunk of wood into a pipe in the shape of a pot leaf and how would i make the jagged pattern like on the outside of the leafs thnx
i already no who to make the workings of the pipe bc iv made a few before so i dont need help on that

Hi:

you need to file the wood or scroll saw it to put that patten on the wooden leaves your making.

start by drawing the pattern on the leaf with a pencil than file it with a medium tooth trianglar file than as you get close to the line switch to a fine tooth trianglar file and continue remove it until you get to the line. Than to finish it than sanded it into shape with very fine sandpaper.
