Wood Carving with knife Help?
i only wanna use a pocket knife to do this. But i wanna be able to carve animals such as bears and wolves. were can i get started to be able to carve things like that? Blue prints are greatly appreciated. Wood suggestions also.

You can “whittle ” w/ a pocket knife but for animals & such a small “chip” carving knife is easier.
They come in sets but you do’nt need all of them at once.
Basswood is widely used for carving .
Tight grained & lets you cut in almost any direction without splitting.
Lots of sites for carving tools , instruction books & carving blocks.
