Start with most basic tools and techniques and build on one by one. first draft of a child may be something as simple as a series shelves or a small library.

Teach your child about the different types of wood, the trees produce wood and properties each. Tell them what you use oak instead of pine for a particular project. Show your child is more at work cutting wood and nailing boards together. Wood can be bent, cut, burned, painted, glued, or stained to make many different things and beautiful. You can point to the cabinets kitchen, furniture in the living room, a guitar in the corner or under the paint on the wall as an example of the versatility of wood.

For those of you who have children under four years can still get to familiarize themselves with the tools. Many toys are similar to the types of tools used in the father of the workshop. You can get a child with a package of established security tools sized for small hands, or versions of toy tools little power that your child may pretend to work. Whatever the age of the child, you can find a way to generate interest in the wood that will last a life.
