Failing Wood Class in High School… Reasonable?
I am a freshmen in High School and it maybe just me but I don’t understand the grading my Wood Workshop class. Here we are graded in teamwork, attendance, time management and effort. My attendance is good but I guess my ‘Teamwork, Time management and effort is bad.’ Wood A is my first class and I am tired as ****. I can’t find a way to use teamwork when most of my class is upperclassmen and they don’t need help from a freshmen. Sure my projects maybe not that great but I feel I have put in a good amount of time and effort. I spend most of my time sanding until I feel its perfect or carving impossibly hard wood that I spend a ridiculous amount of time tracing on. I talked to him but he didn’t seem to understand and criticized me.
I am a good student and have an A in every other class.
Good for you for taking wood-shop. Have you tried making a picture frame yet? Or try copying an idea from one of your colleagues.
